Sandy Somers, MS

Myers-Briggs Type Indicator Administrator

Sandy’s positive experience of transitioning to a second career in midlife enhances the service she provides as a career coach. After a highly productive career in healthcare with roles in clinical practice, education, research, administration and successful grant procurement, she decided what she wanted most to do with the rest of her life was work in the career field. Sandy became a certified professional coach and is credentialed as a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) through the International Coach Federation. She also completed the Global Career Development Facilitator (GCDF) curriculum through the National Career Development Association and is a past president of the Arizona Career Development Association. She originally graduated from the University of Buffalo with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing and Arizona State University with a Master’s Degree in Community Mental Health and Psychiatric Nursing. Sandy used the Myers-Briggs Type Indicator® in her thesis and finds this personality assessment a powerful tool to use with people in their career exploration and development. Sandy is also a Career Coach and Assistant Director of Career Management and Employer Relations at W. P. Carey School of Business, Arizona State University where she works with MBA and EMBA students. When she is not working, Sandy enjoys spending time with her family and friends.
