Lynn Higgison (LinkedIn Profile) is an accomplished Human Resources professional and professional resume writer/career coach with over 20 years of diverse experience in a broad spectrum of industries - Consumer Products, Banking, Pharmaceuticals, Medical Devices and Healthcare.

Lynn holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Business Management from North Carolina State University and is a certified Professional in Human Resources (PHR). She is a graduate of the Resume Writing Academy and has earned the prestigious Academy Certified Resume Writer (ACRW) national designation. Lynn has worked the past 6 years in Human Resources at Shands Jacksonville Medical Center, a 695-bed, Magnet, Trauma I, Academic Medical Center. Prior to joining Shands, Lynn worked for Right Management Consultants, a global leader in talent and career transition services. Lynn partnered with hundreds of candidates in career transition and assisted them in writing new resumes, preparing for interviews, and coached them on how to effectively manage their job search campaigns.

In the Fall of 2011, Lynn started her business named "Opportunity Knocks," a professional resume writing/career coaching business. To date, Lynn has assisted hundreds of candidates in the Jacksonville, FL area.

A native of Northern Virginia, Lynn is on the Board of Directors of the Jacksonville chapter of the American Society of Training and Development (ASTD) and leads the Career Management sub-group. She is also on the Board of Directors for a new non-profit organization in Jacksonville, FL called "The Hispanic Institute for Life and Leadership," also known as The H.I.L.L.

Lynn enjoys doing volunteer work, traveling domestically and internationally, playing tennis and spending time with her friends, family, and two dachshund dogs.
